H2S Training

It is essential that wastewater, utilities, oil & gas and landfill workers be trained to understand and recognize the hazards associated with Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas. Hydrogen Sulfide or sour gas is a flammable, colorless gas that is toxic at extremely low concentrations. It is heavier than air and smells like “rotten eggs”. Once exposed, it can quickly cause you to lose your sense of smell. Exposure to Hydrogen Sulfide gas can be fatal.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Program (1926)

The OSHA ten (10) hour course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in the construction industry. OSHA recommends the 10 Hour construction outreach training program as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Program (1926)

The OSHA thirty (30) hour construction outreach training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors or anyone involved in the construction industry. OSHA recommends the 30 hour outreach training course as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Construction workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job.

Learning Objectives:

  • Locate OSHA Standards references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices.
  • Recognize the aspects of 1926 Subpart C.
  • Implement preventative measures for accidents in their workplace.
  • Describe types of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the requirements for use in OSHA standards.
  • Understand the requirements for fire protection in the workplace.
  • Identify types of rigging equipment used to protect employees.
  • Identify the critical health and safety hazards of welding and cutting in the construction industry.
  • Identify common electrical hazards and related OSHA standards.
  • Understand the importance of scaffolding for workers in elevated workplaces.
  • Implement measures for protecting workers and equipment from dangerous falls.
  • Recognize the hazards associated with working in or around excavation sites.

Trenching and Excavation Safety Training (NUCA)

Course Objectives:
The Trenching and Excavation training course will address the Occupational Health & Safety trenching and excavation requirements. The training shall enable participants to recognize hazards associated with trenching and excavation and the protective measures and equipment required prior to entering a trench and excavation.
